“The cemetery spread along the area known as Devils Abode.”

Very few people attended the funeral of the wealthy Maxwell Dickus, a lot of people were startled, but glad to hear this news. The feeling was this parasite had gone to the right resting place and would feel at home in this particular abode.
The Brigadier was shocked when his interrogation unit was penetrated and an assassin killed Maxwell Dickus. The guards were under suspicion and interrogated.
Acting upon the information gleaned from the drone, Don Fernando’s team smashed into the hidden complex and after some fierce fighting were now in control. Marg, reunited with Don Fernando and Bella made arrangements to break into a strong room and strip the ill-gotten gains.

Finish the story begins with:

The team employed the use of Nightshade to get the information they wanted from their captive.”

Talk man or we will kill you!”

Vodka and tomato juice with fried eggplant was thought to be killing him with kindness.

Marg was very curious and not a little excited. Her favourite variety of Nightshade in a deep fried state, usually came with battered cod and would be torture for her strict diet, however in the form of Belladonna, glycoalkaloids are deadly.

At last Marg was face-to-face with one of the notorious Dickus brothers. Maxwell was captured and in the hands of the Brigadier who was making every effort to extract some critical information from the captive. Marg was needed to provide a feminine touch. It was well known that Maxwell Dickus was amenable to bragging and it was thought an attractive woman would be able to befriend him to loosen his tongue.

News of the crashed Little Bird helicopter arrived, some wreckage was recovered……

Finish the story begins with:

The only residents remaining in the small town of Miners Hill are spirits.”

This remark in response to Marg’s question was the clue to an extraordinary puzzle. Why had the place been evacuated? How had they managed to convince the people to leave? The Brigadier was outlining the plan for an assault on a little known mining area in Brazil. Reports clearly indicated the abandoned houses concealed a vast underground complex, including a sophisticated lab with a centre for the production and distribution of pure cocaine.

There was a sudden noisy interruption as the sad news came of the loss of “Angel Flame”! Torpedoed with no survivors, the sub had managed to release an on board missile in retaliation, which had sadly missed the target. Maxwell Dickus had departed at full speed without waiting to ask questions. Despite many calls of alarm with demands to stop, a brief cryptic response came from the fleeing vessel. “We have a brig waiting for the Brig!”

Finish the story begins with:

The crew of the Angel Flame received orders to head out.”

The submarine slid into the water fully loaded with provisions and the required arms and explosives. The Brigadier had ordered an assault on a huge armoured luxury yacht owned by Dr Dickus’s billionaire brother Maxwell, moored within striking distance of the island.
Maxwell Dickus was a very shady character, it was rumoured, he had amassed his fortune buying and selling arms to supply some very impoverished African States.
Marg had left Bella with Don Fernando to be cared for by her relatives, the wounds were superficial and would soon heal with time and care. Marg was to remain on the mysterious island, and after a debriefing would enjoy a well-earned rest.
During this intensive interview, the Brigadier hinted there was a huge operation imminent and Marg’s recent experience and the loyalty she had demonstrated would be well rewarded. Then came the awful news, the submarine was reported sunk and lost…….

TALKING PENS

by John Yeo

The eccentric billionaire Maxwell Dickus, hosted a worldwide annual literary competition. The first prize was £100,000 with £50,000 going to the runner-up. The competition is open to all and sundry and is hotly contested around the world. The winner and runner-up are chosen by a public vote in the world press, with television and radio shows collecting the votes. The prizes are presented by some very influential business men and entrepreneurs, who are presented with a very ornate fountain pen, that is as highly valued by the recipients, as the prize is by the writers.

The world financial community became aware of some very serious business leaks of sensitive information, that could only have originated from inside sources. Insider trading was suspected and many private security firms were called in to investigate, without turning up the cause. A separate investigation was made into the wheeling and dealing billionaire Maxwell Dickus without any results.

One day a well respected firm of private investigators, headed by the intrepid famous lady sleuth, Marg, discovered a bugged fountain pen in the office of a dot/com millionaire, who immediately informed the authorities. All the literary prize pens were collected by police, and Maxwell Dickus was arrested for financial fraud. The case against Dickus is underway but proof is virtually impossible as he denies all knowledge of these bugs and pins the blame on the manufacturers who are Chinese in origin.Pens
