Hello John (and Margaret, of course). I’ve had a quick look at your lovely blog and am now happily following you. I’ll have a better look later, when it isn’t New Year’s Eve! I don’t know which part of the U.K.you’re from, but I’ve lived near Lincoln for some years now. I love the land and all its associated wildlife. (My second teaching subject was Rural Science). I hope to take part in the writing prompts you do so well. They intrigue me! Happy New Year to you both.
Hi! milliethom, Happy New Year my friend! I have had a brief exploration of your great blog pages, and I am very impressed~We live in windy Norfolk on the coast, not too far from Lincoln~ Lovely to meet you here ~ 🙂
I know Norfolk reasonably well. Our youngest son went to universiy in Norwich and we’ve had a few family holidays in the Cromer area. I’m still contemplating joining in with the Monday Flash Fiction you enjoy so much. I’m a bit puzzled about whether ther episodes you write should be part of an ongoing story or independent little snippets.
I wish you both a Happy New Year – and a productive one with your poetry. I’m about to embark on Book 3 of my trilogy – and right now, that seems like a very daunting prospect!
Keep well.
Millie.
I love Norwich it is just about the most historical and interesting place outside of London. The Monday’s finish the story prompt is usually individual weekly snippets in response to the picture and the given first sentence. I started to amalgamate the weekly prompts myself and that seems to have gone down well. I enjoy the challenge and it is good writing practice for me. I am looking forward to enjoying your writing and reading your books 🙂
Wow! Thank you for the compliments. I hope I can live up to them. I intend to start on the Monday prompt next week, once all the holiday is over. I’m relieved I don’t have to start an ongoing story, though. I’ve got enough to plan with my new book! I really liked Mara’s piece the other day and she suggested I give the Monday prompts a go. When you got in touch it helped to make my mind up. You both said it is good writing practice, which has to be good. So thank you so much for that.
Well, as I write this we have less than four hour until 2015. I can’t decide whether to be depressed about that or elated! Do I really want to be a year older …?
Be happy my friend ~ I think my 2015 is looking a lot more rosy for meeting you here~Enjoy! I look forward to your posts 🙂
And I look forward to many more of yours.
Hi John. I’ve just tagged you on my post, Love in Four Words. You’ll probably feel the same as I did about being nominated, but I managed to have a go. I’ve only nominated two men, so the male perspective on this would be useful. 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by and following my blog. I will do likewise and am now following yours. I do enjoy your stories…keep them coming.
Thank you ~ I look forward to your posts 🙂
Thank you so much for the follow. 🙂 Looking forward to read your blog. 🙂

Good day, John 🙂 Not sure if you are aware, but I do a Showcase every day of bloggers that I follow. Often I post some of their work and links to others so that my followers can read and check out the blogger’s work. I would like to Showcase your blog, so I am asking permission to post some of your work on my blog. Credit back to you will be provided. I look forward to your response.
Blessings!
Lori
Thanks for showing interest in my work Lori. Of course you may publish a selection. I would love to know which and when you do showcase please : Be happy 🙂
Thank you, John… the showcase will be tomorrow, and I don’t know the selection yet. I usually choose things on the day I do the writing, but if you’d like me to do it tonight and submit the choices beforehand, I most certainly will 🙂
